Ballinastoe Woods offers a magical walk deep into a boardwalk forest. It’s a popular place for both tourists and photographers. In committing to capture this scene, my goal was to bring a strong element of light into the image. I had researched the sun’s position and knew the light would break through, creating that “walking into the light” feeling. On the 25th of April 2025, I arrived on location with the good fortune of perfect weather and just enough cloud to let the sunlight stream through. I had tried to photograph this scene three times over the years, and on that day everything finally came together. This print has a peaceful energy and looks stunning when printed, drawing the viewer into the quiet beauty of the forest path.
